How do I confirm my hours for a credit card payment?

You've just accepted a booking from a parent that is set to be paid via credit card. If you're wondering how to confirm your hours worked so you can get paid, look no further!

Please note that you must have valid bank account information on file in order to accept credit card payments. 

At the end of your booking, we'll prompt you to confirm the hours you worked so the parent can initiate your payment. Here's how to confirm your hours on the UrbanSitter website accessed on a desktop or mobile web browser, and on the iPhone and Android app:

Web and Mobile Web Browser

We'll prompt you to confirm your hours with an email entitled 'Confirm the hours worked for [Parent name]'. Then click the green 'Confirm or Edit Hours' button. Or, you can go to your Bookings page and under 'Active Bookings' navigate to the booking you'd like to confirm hours for then click 'Confirm Hours'. This will take you to the following screen:

Make sure to select 'Yes, expecting bank deposit' under 'Are you expecting payment for this job?'. Then edit your hours worked if necessary by clicking the green up and down arrows next to 'Starting' and 'Ending'. Please note that if your booking was originally an overnight job but you ended up leaving before midnight, you must change the 'Ending' date to the same day as the 'Starting' date. 

Then write an optional message to the parent and finally, click 'Confirm' to confirm your hours!


iPhone App

We'll prompt you to confirm your hours via a push notification. Or, click the Menu button ios_menu_button.png in the top right corner of your screen then click 'Bookings'. Under 'Active Bookings' click on the booking you'd like to confirm hours for. Then click 'Confirm or Edit Hours'.

Make sure to select 'Yes, expecting bank deposit' under 'Are you expecting payment for this job?'. Then edit your hours worked if necessary by clicking the green plus signs next to 'Start Time' and 'End Time', then click 'Continue'. The final screen will allow you to review the start and end time, total hours worked, and send the parent an optional message. Finally, click 'Confirm Hours' to confirm your hours!


Android App

We'll prompt you to confirm your hours via a push notification. Or, click the Menu button android_menu_button.png in the top left corner of your screen then click 'Bookings'. Under 'Active Bookings' click on the booking you'd like to confirm hours for. Then click 'Confirm or Edit Hours' and on the next screen make sure to select 'Yes, expecting bank deposit' under 'Are you expecting payment for this job?'. Then click 'Continue'.

On the 'Payment Details' screen you can review the start and end time, total hours worked, and send the parent an optional message. If you need to edit your hours worked, click the date or hours under 'Confirmed Actual Hours'. You will then be able to scroll and pick the correct start and end time, as seen in the third screen. Make sure to click 'Done' to save your edited hours then finally, click 'Confirm' to confirm your hours!


After you confirm your hours, we'll send a message to the parent asking them to confirm your payment and add an optional tip. Once the parent confirms the payment, we'll initiate your deposit! It typically takes 2-3 business days for the funds to show in your account.
