You can unsubscribe from UrbanSitter notification emails on your Account's Settings page under 'Communication'. Please note that currently the function to unsubscribe is available on the UrbanSitter website accessed on a desktop or mobile web browser, and is not featured on the UrbanSitter app.
Here's how to unsubscribe from notifications for parents and sitters:
For parents- Access your Account's Settings page by clicking 'Your Account' then 'Settings' at the top right of your screen. Scroll down to 'Communication', then un-check the checkbox next to the type of notifications you no longer wish to receive.
Under 'Send me emails when friends leave a 5 star review', you will see a list of the groups you're currently a member of on UrbanSitter. If your group is selected, you will receive email notifications if a fellow member of that group leaves a new 5 star review for a sitter. Feel free to customize which groups you would like to receive notifications for, and deselect 'Send me emails when friends leave a 5 star review' to unsubscribe from all 5 star review emails.
For sitters- Access your Account's Settings page by clicking 'Your Account' then 'Settings' at the top right of your screen. Scroll down to 'Communication', then un-check the checkboxes next to the types of notifications you no longer wish to receive.
Our new job alert notification sends you an email when a new job is posted to the Job Board within your preferred working distance. To turn this notification on, select the checkbox next to 'Send me alerts for jobs posted within the working distance set on my profile'. To update your preferred working distance, go to your sitter Profile and scroll down to the 'Locations' section. Click 'Edit' and then updateyour preferred radius of new job alerts within a certain distance from you. For example, if you select '10 miles' you will receive an email notification notifying you of a new job that is posted within 10 miles from your address.

Both parents and sitters, please note: if you unsubscribe from any of these notifications you will continue to receive email notifications related to bookings, payments, the Job Board, and your account - such as Job Board post notifications, new messages, or updates to your booking's status.
