Completed a booking and the payment was set to credit card? Here's how credit card payments work in the following three easy steps:
- Sitter confirms hours
- Parent confirms payment
- Payment is initiated within the UrbanSitter system from parent to sitter
If your booking has a status of 'Completed' with the message 'You've been paid!' then your payment has already been submitted by the parent. Since sitter payments require 3 full business days to process, you should expect to receive funds no later than the end of the third day after your payment is submitted.
For example, if you worked a job on Friday night and payment was submitted the Monday after, you should expect to see those funds in your account no later than the end of day the following Wednesday. Please note that business days do not include corporate and bank holidays such as Labor day, Christmas day, and Columbus day.
With a few exceptions, payments will be automatically charged about 24 hours after the sitter has confirmed their hours, even if the parent does not confirm payment. This is to ensure that sitters can be paid in a timely manner! If you have any questions about your payment, or haven't received payment by the 3rd business day, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Support team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
