If you've received a promotional credit or gift card code, you can redeem the code on your account's Credits page. Redeeming your code will apply the credit to your UrbanSitter account that you can use towards UrbanSitter membership fees, sitter payments, or both.
Enter the promotional or gift card code in the Voucher code field, then click Redeem.
Once your credit is successfully redeemed on your account, a green banner will appear at the top of your page to confirm. If you receive a red error message instead that reads "Sorry! This code is not valid..." please double check your voucher code. If you continue to receive this message, feel free to contact Support.
Your Credits page will have a list of all credits that have been redeemed on your account - beginning with available credit that has yet to be used, and ending with credit that has been used or has since expired. Please note that UrbanSitter credits apply in three different ways:
- Credits that are applicable to membership fees will automatically apply towards your next membership fee
- Credits that are applicable to sitter payments will automatically apply towards your next sitter payment
- Credits that are applicable to both membership fees and sitter payments will automatically apply towards your next transaction, whichever comes first
For example, this parent has an available credit of $15 on her account. While she is confirming her latest sitter's payment, she sees her credit automatically deducted from the subtotal. For more information about paying caregivers with credit, see our FAQ: How do I use my credit to pay caregivers?
