On your sitter profile, a great "About me" bio should include:
- Your education (and major if relevant). For example, if you’re studying to be a teacher or nurse, definitely add that.
- Your experience working with children. Include when you started and the age ranges of kids that you’ve babysat for.
- Why you love babysitting or what you like to do when you’re taking care of kids (crafts, outdoors, helping them with homework…etc).
- A sentence about you to make it more personal.
Lastly, be sure to double-check your profile for correct spelling and grammar. Typos are a turnoff for many parents.
Example: "Hi - My name is Lucy and I'm currently a sophomore at USF. I've been working with kids since I was 15 and love it. I started by watching my younger brother and sister, and then began babysitting for kids in our neighborhood. Over the last few years, I've worked primarily with infants and toddlers, but I love kids of all ages. If it's nice out, I like to take the kids outside, but if not, I whip out my origami skills :) In my free time, I love hiking, reading and cooking.
