1. Submit Your Booking on a Web Browser
Click “Learn More” on the left side of your browser under “Let us handle everything,” and click “Book.” Detail the type of care you need, when you need the care, and what the booking includes. We’ll connect you with a trusted local agency to find the perfect caregiver for your family.
2. Caregiver Matching
The agency will select a caregiver based on your requirements, ensuring they meet all necessary background check standards if they are not background checked through Checkr.
3. Get Confirmation
Once a caregiver is confirmed, you'll receive an email with their details, and your UrbanSitter account will be updated with the booking information. Our agency concierge team responds to requests as soon as possible, no later than the next business day. Agency bookings are not available on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.
4. Personal Support
Your agency concierge team is available to help with your booking fulfillment and staffing needs. As a small team focused on personalized assistance, we strive to offer the best service possible. We appreciate your patience as we respond to each request with care and attention.
What types of care are available through Agency Care?
At this time, agency care is available exclusively for Child Care. If you need Pet Care, Senior Care, or Household Services, you can book individual caregivers directly through UrbanSitter - post a job or search for caregivers today.
How are agencies and caregivers vetted?
UrbanSitter holds both agencies and caregivers to high standards to ensure quality care. Agencies are required to maintain professional and general liability insurance and meet strict background screening criteria.
Caregivers provided by our partner agencies undergo comprehensive vetting and screening processes, including background checks.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your booking, please do so through your booking on UrbanSitter. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled start time that have a confirmed agency caregiver will incur a fee. However, if an agency cancels on your family within 24 hours of your start time, we’ll apply a $50 credit to your UrbanSitter account. To reschedule, please contact your agency concierge team at agencycare@urbansitter.com.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of hours for agency care?
Agency care bookings require a minimum of 5 hours and can be scheduled for up to 24 hours.
How far in advance can I book agency care?
You can submit an agency care booking as far in advance as you’d like. For requests further in advance, please allow our team time to match you with a caregiver from our network of agencies.
We can also accommodate same-day needs within a few hours of the booking start time.
Can I make changes to my booking request?
Once a booking is confirmed, edits cannot be made directly on the booking on UrbanSitter. Please contact your agency concierge team at agencycare@urbansitter.com if you need to change the date, time, or number of children or edit small details like notes or booking information for the caregiver.
Can I use care credits for agency care?
If your benefit includes care credits, you can use them to pay caregivers for their services through agency care - just make sure to select the payment method credit card when you book. In the event of a late cancelation, care credits will not be applied to your cancelation fee.
