If your benefit includes bringing on your existing caregiver (not yet on UrbanSitter), have them sign up for UrbanSitter at no cost then pay them for their services with your care credits. Your benefit covers your caregiver’s annual membership fee including the required background check.
How to start
First, make sure you’re successfully enrolled and your benefit includes bringing on your caregiver. Learn more about your benefit and what it includes here.
After you enroll, look out for an email from our team with benefit details and reply back to request your caregiver membership code.
What your caregiver should do
Have your caregiver sign up for an UrbanSitter account: www.urbansitter.com/signup/sitter
- Use promo code supplied by our team to purchase free membership
- Clear required background check
- Complete profile with:
- About me bio, rates, and location
- Profile photo
- Direct deposit information (required to pay with care credits)
Once your caregiver’s profile is completed and approved, including clearing the required background check, you can book them for jobs (most profiles are approved within 3-5 days or sooner). Learn more about caregiver requirements and the background check process here.
Please note all communication regarding your caregiver’s background check and profile approval status will be sent via email to your caregiver. If you or your caregiver have any questions, email Member Services at support@urbansitter.com.
How to book & pay with credits
Have your caregiver share their profile with you, then click Book to schedule jobs. Make sure they have direct deposit information on file and you select the credit card payment method so you can use your care credits toward the payment. Learn more about paying with your care credits here.
What if my benefit includes care credits but not a free caregiver membership?
If your benefit includes care credits but not a free caregiver membership, we welcome your caregiver to sign up for an account anyways so you can still take advantage of your care credits. You can always add a tip on your first payment to cover the cost of their membership fee!
